The EFMD business magazine

The EFMD business magazine

Vol. 13 Issue 01 ’19
In this issue, business schools are urged to foresee future trends in a “See the Future” study by Andrew Crisp and EFMD. Zhang Ruimin of Haier promotes a management ethos prioritising personal values, emphasising that business is all about people, management is all about leveraging resources and that “Rendanheyi” is a model that can realise the idea of leveraging global resources while at the same time realising personal values. David Grayson highlights the surge in sustainable business collaborations, and Michel Kalika and Gordon Shenton emphasise the need for business schools to not only talk about impact but also do a better job of assessing it. Mukul Kumar and Johan Roos advocate for tech literacy in business education, whilst The Conscious Project, founded by Ben Emmens and Abi Green, has one clear aim: to help individuals and organisations think about what they are doing and do it better or, in other words, to be more conscious. These insights underscore a shift towards holistic, forward-thinking approaches in business education and practice.
